This project was challenged by a tight construction schedule, as well as the coordination of multiple end-users with different treatment functions and requirements. A corporate-wide rebranding effort had to be incorporated into an already-tight schedule and budget. This new state-of-the-art building would need to work with new operational models and not default back to previous models.
A key element of the Northstar Approach is to ensure timely decision-making and the use of a project management plan. This gave Northstar the ability to successfully capture the day-to-day operating functions of each department and incorporate that into the project design, leading to an optimal patient-doctor experience. The implementation of a project management plan, as well as a well-documented log of key decisions were instrumental in keeping the project under budget and on schedule.
