SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Centralia

Northstar served as the Program Manager/Owner’s Representative on the multi-phased master facility plan for SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, IL. Program components included the renovation of the existing 14,000 SF emergency department, including safer patient rooms, separate ambulance entrance, rapid emergency medical bays, and two critical care units. Program also included the renovation of a 6,500 SF lab, with built-in casework and modular furniture, including a microbiology and blood bank. In addition, exterior Improvements were made to the hospital and connected medical office buildings, including an exterior insulation and finish system (EFIS), stone accents, and new windows in some areas to unify the architectural style of the facility. Northstar also facilitated the functional program to determine if an addition should be constructed to the surgery department as part of the next phase.
