St. Joseph’s Academy completed the $7.5 million campus renovation and enhancement program right on time for the beginning of the 2020 Fall school year! Northstar began our involvement with this project in 2016 as part of the Project Programming efforts to develop a conceptual plan for the second and third floors of the main school building. Northstar led the team to review choices and ultimately prioritize what best fit the Owner’s needs. We then facilitated the COVA (Cost Opinion Value Analysis) process to develop an agreed upon scope. Northstar’s project management plan included detailed meetings with school administration, teachers and maintenance personnel to ensure a thorough understanding of operational and safety concerns. Construction of the new STEM education facility and visual arts center began in 2019 and was completed in time for the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester. Northstar team members involved in this project include Chris Gocal, Project Principal and Kimberly Paulek, Project Manager. Working with BSI Constructors, Inc., Hastings+Chivetta Architects and the entire project team was a great experience! Northstar is very proud to be a part of this fantastic project!
“ It was a pleasure to have Kimberly Paulek as our owner’s rep in the recent renovation and construction at St. Joseph’s Academy. She is extremely thorough, pays attention to detail and her sense of humor was a welcome relief during a couple of construction glitches. Every step of the way she listened to our ideas and visions and had an amazing ability to always guide us in a direction that produced magnificent outcomes.” – Karen Davis, Principal of Student Affairs
