Mercy Fort Smith ED/ICU Expansion Project
Northstar serves as the Program Manager/Owner’s Representative on the Mercy Fort Smith ED/ICU Expansion Project. The project is a $162 Million expansion of its emergency room and intensive care unit, with construction targeted to start in early 2022 and completion anticipated in the summer of 2024. The new emergency room on the first floor includes 39 exam rooms, 6 trauma rooms, 5 behavioral health rooms, and 5 triage rooms. Two ICU floors will include 32 inpatient rooms on each floor. In addition, a two-level, 550-car parking garage will connect to the new building. Northstar is also providing medical equipment planning services on this project.
